[Superstitionism among Salafi Muslims]

In any case, this is a fatal illness that has gripped the hearts of Shias and made it very difficult for them to know the truth, and it is clear that its origin is nothing but superstitionism. However, such ordinary approaches are not specific to them and have tainted other sects of Muslims more or less; to the extent that even among the Salafists, despite their narrow-mindedness and rigidity, there are many superstitions, and some fatwas that are issued sometimes by their muftis are like delusions; because many superstitions have entered their narrations, and their anti-intellectualism is the origin of every calamity; regardless of the fact that some of their fatwas are issued by order of oppressors to discredit Islam, and they have no basis even in their narrations; considering that some of them are hypocrites and the hirelings of oppressors, and they intentionally fabricate lies against God and His Prophet.

[Summarizing the impediments to cognition]

As a result, superstitionism is one of the greatest impediments to cognition of the truth and returning to Islam, and along with the previous impediments, it has played a major role in the emergence and exacerbation of Muslims’ problems. Although the impediments to cognition are not limited to these seven and there are other impediments that can be mentioned, they appear to be minor compared to these seven and can be easily categorized thereunder; as, for example, moral decadence is one of the greatest factors that stop Muslims from knowing and returning to Islam, but it clearly originates from ignorance, worldliness, and passions.

In any case, what is certain is that Muslims have no choice but to fight against these impediments in order to know the “best saying” and return to the pure religion, and they must start a large-scale cultural movement to fight against ignorance, imitation, passions, worldliness, fanaticism, arrogance, and superstitionism in all their manifestations and focus all their political, economic, and advertising programs on it through cooperation with each other so that the way is paved for the reform of the Ummah and the realization of the ideal of Islam.
