[Non-distortion of the Quran]

Although the belief that some of the first Muslims have reduced it has been attributed to a number of Muslims, there is no evidence for this belief, but rather it is contrary to rational rules; because the narration of the Book of God has not been limited to those accused of reducing it, and it has been done by a large number of others, and it is clearly not possible that they all have colluded in its reduction in a single form. In other words, the narrators of the Book of God from the time of the Prophet until now have reached a number that their consensus on reducing or adding to it in a single form is not possible, and this is based on rational and empirical necessities. In addition, the occurrence of reduction in the Book of God means the occurrence of a deficiency or diversity in it, which is naturally noticeable, while no deficiency or diversity is noticed in it, but rather its text is harmonious, consistent, and reasonable, and it is unparalleled in terms of literature and semantics and cannot be opposed, and this means its miraculousness that proves its issuance by God and its immutability; because any change in it naturally harms its order, disrupts its harmony, consistency, and reasonableness, and undermines its miraculousness, whereas it has not happened; as God Almighty has said: ﴿أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ۚ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ اخْتِلَافًا كَثِيرًا[1]; “So do they not ponder on the Quran?! If it had been from anyone other than God, they would surely have found in it many variations.” Furthermore, the occurrence of a deficiency in it necessitates the inevitable fall of Muslims into deviation without the possibility of their being guided; because its reduced parts have not been narrated in a mutawatir manner, and therefore, Muslims are not able to complete and correct it. It is hereby understood that the Book of God in its current form is proof; in the sense that it certainly represents the will of God.

[Authority of apparent meanings and generalities of the Quran]

Nevertheless, the belief that the apparent meaning of the Book of God is not proof has been attributed to some Muslims; in the sense that what comes to the mind from its phrases is often not the serious intention of God, and its generalities in particular cannot be binding;
