Therefore, it is obligatory for Mahdi to enable them to have access to him if they remove the impediment, and this can be done by sending an ambassador, writing a letter to them, or in another way depending on the possibility and occasion. Based on this, it is obligatory for people to remove the impediment to access to Mahdi, which is first of all the lack of necessary security for him, and if they do so, then it is obligatory for Mahdi to facilitate their access to him, and he will do so due to his purity from every impurity and his inseparability from the Book of God, and his not doing so until now is evidence that people have not removed the impediment to access to him or provided him with the necessary security.

This is while people need Mahdi, and Mahdi does not need people; because Mahdi knows about the rulings of God and their subjects without going to people, but people do not know about the rulings of God and their subjects without going to Mahdi, and therefore, Mahdi’s going to people is not obligatory, but rather people’s going to Mahdi is obligatory; considering that the obligation with the intellect is that the needy person should go to the one who can fulfill his need, not that the rich person should go to the one who needs him; as the hungry seek food, and food does not seek the hungry, the thirsty seek water, and water does not seek the thirsty, the sick seek the doctor, and the doctor does not seek the sick, the ignorant seek the scholar, and the scholar does not seek the ignorant, and this is what instinct and nature require. Based on this, Mahdi’s coming to people is unnatural and contrary to wisdom unless they come to him, and therefore, the wise do not expect it, even though fools expect it.

[How people can make Mahdi appear]

It is hereby understood that people’s conception that the advent of Mahdi is the responsibility of God and contingent on His initial will and action is not correct; because as it was made clear, the advent of Mahdi, in the sense of having access to him and his domination over the earth, is one of the works that are contingent on the sufficient support of people for him, and it is clear that their sufficient support for him does not take place by God’s compulsory will and action, but rather it takes place by their voluntary will and action, and God’s will and action, even though they are necessary for Mahdi to be created and appear, follow people’s initial will and action;
